So here I am in a Brisbane lockdown, writing a blog post about the last Brisbane lockdown! When will things return to normal?
A snap lockdown was announced just days before Lauren & Brandon were set to be married. Despite this they managed to stay hopeful that their wedding could go ahead as planned, albeit with a few extra restrictions. We chatted a few times during the week leading up to the wedding and I was always blown away by how upbeat and positive they sounded! No matter what, they were going to get married.
After three days announcements, restrictions and extensions, the day arrived and the lockdown continued. This meant any ceremony had to be restricted to 10 guests (including the photographer). They shared their vows in front of their nearest, dearest and a laptop full of smiling faces over zoom. The absolute hidden gem Loyal Hope hosted the event with Lara W conducting the ceremony.
And as it turns out, 24 hours later the lockdown did lift and they were able to host a perfect reception.
The story of Lauren & Brandon’s lockdown wedding even made it to the Courier Mail! Check the excerpts at the bottom of the post.
