Caitlin & Will - Winnifred's Brisbane Wedding

Caitlin and Will were the first couple to marry at Winnifred's on Arthur in Fortitude Valley - and it's hard to imagine a better pair to have that honour. As regulars who know the staff, the wine list, and every corner of the space, their wedding felt less like a hire and more like a homecoming. Brisbane wedding photography by Gabriel Veit.

Caitlin and Will were the first couple to marry at Winnifred's on Arthur in Fortitude Valley - Brisbane's remarkable new champagne house and French bistro - and it's hard to imagine a better pair to have that honour.

For the uninitiated: Winnifred's is unlike anything else in the city. Founder Megan Nunn and architect Tim Stewart transformed a former furniture warehouse at 34 Arthur Street into a Champagne maison - five distinct spaces named after the subregions of Champagne, over 15,000 bottles of grower Champagne in the cellar, bespoke artworks, velvet textures, and a recycled brick facade concealing 96 solar panels. It's considered, beautiful, and completely its own thing.

What made it even better for this shoot is that Caitlin and Will aren't just clients who booked a nice venue - they're regulars. They know the staff, they know the wine list, and they genuinely love this place. That familiarity is hard to fake and impossible to manufacture, and it comes through in the images.

Brisbane sent a bit of rain through mid-afternoon, which did nothing to the mood and quite a lot for the light. The soft, diffuse glow you get after a shower, filtered through Winnifred's warm interior, was quietly perfect.

Because they know every corner of the space, Caitlin and Will wanted to photograph all of it - the champagne garden at the entrance, the cellar bar, the bistro floor, the private upstairs rooms. We moved through the building without any real agenda, which is the best way. The gallery reflects that: relaxed, exploratory, unposed.

As a Brisbane wedding photographer, being present for a first - the first ceremony in a space that will go on to host many - is a good reminder of why this job is worth doing. Congratulations, Caitlin and Will.

Laura & Daniel - The Gardens Club Brisbane Wedding

A cosy indoor ceremony, soft overcast light, and plenty of smiles - Laura and Daniel’s wedding at The Gardens Club was the perfect mix of relaxed and romantic in the heart of Brisbane.

Laura & Daniel’s Intimate Gardens Club Wedding
Brisbane Wedding Photographer

Laura and Daniel’s wedding at The Gardens Club was a relaxed, love-filled celebration in the heart of Brisbane. Despite a wet start to the day, the ceremony was moved indoors to the venue’s charming heritage building - cosy, elegant, and perfect for their laid-back vibe.

These two were all smiles, soaking up every moment surrounded by their closest people. The soft, overcast light made for beautifully even, natural photos, and the lush greenery of the Botanic Gardens still shone through the drizzle.

It was one of those weddings that felt effortlessly joyful. No fuss, just genuine connection and a couple completely in tune with each other.

If you're planning a Brisbane wedding and love the idea of something relaxed and meaningful, The Gardens Club is always a favourite.

Ruby & Nelson - Granite Belt Brewery & Retreat Stanthorpe Wedding

A relaxed family wedding at Granite Belt Brewery and Retreat, with portraits among the granite boulders. A heartfelt Stanthorpe celebration full of personal touches and big love.

Ruby and Nelson’s wedding at Granite Belt Brewery and Retreat was the kind of day that makes you pause and smile — full of love, laughter, and a few perfectly sweet surprises.

Surrounded by native bushland and the rugged beauty of Stanthorpe’s iconic granite boulders, this was an intimate family celebration with heart. Guests travelled from far and wide (many all the way from Germany!), and Ruby’s German Omaeven stood proudly by her side as a bridesmaid — one of the many moments that made this day unforgettable.

We snuck away for portraits amongst the granite, just as the light dipped low and the air turned crisp — classic Stanthorpe. Nelson rolled up in a bright red Fiat, adding a splash of personality that matched the joy of the day.

The venue was quiet, peaceful, and full of charm — just like the couple themselves. If you’re dreaming of a down-to-earth Granite Belt Brewery and Retreat wedding, or looking for a relaxed Stanthorpe wedding photographer, I’d love to hear your story.
