Alana & Mike - Sunshine Coast Engagement Shoot

Alana & Mike - Sunshine Coast Engagement Shoot

It was a perfect Queensland winter afternoon for Alana & Mike’s engagement session. The pine forests and empty beaches of Bribie Island proved the ideal back drop for this Brisbane based couple. After exploring the countryside we made our way to the coast for sunset. It was magic to watch the sky turn pink and a pair of dolphins slowly cruising by as the sun went down behind us. It’s these times I like to step back let my couples enjoy being together in the moment. No direction or words, just two people watching the sunset together.

Alana & Mike are getting married on a private property on the Sunshine Coast later this year. From what they have told me and how excited they are I know its going to be really special. Can’t wait!

Linda & Adam - The Acre Boomerang Farm Wedding

Linda & Adam - The Acre Boomerang Farm Wedding

Linda and Adam have an amazing bond that not even supporting different football teams can change. I could tell that friends and family are super important to them, not to mention their dogs who they made sure didn’t miss out on the occasion.

Having a wedding venue where everything is in the one place was also important to these two. They wanted their friends and family to relax, play some lawn games, enjoy great food and drink. The Acre Boomerang Farm in the Gold Coast Hinterland ticked all the right boxes, and not just for them. A hidden treehouse, a 100-year-old barn, creeks, rainforests, grassy fields… all things that make a wedding photographer’s shutter-finger start to twitch.

The weather was that perfect mix of overcast with the sun peeking through at just the right moments, then after the sun went down and all the guests were seated at the reception the rain started. I grabbed some umbrellas and a spare groomsmen as a lighting assistant and headed outside for a couple of sparkly night portraits (see last few shots). Congratulations to Linda and Adam!
