A quick blog post today from Sarah & Josh’s Brisbane Botanic Gardens engagement shoot. These two married a few months later at Queensland Parliment House with a reception at Black Bird Restaurant (blog coming soon). We found some hidden nooks and empty paths to get cosy in. I especially love the golden light and green textures that seemed to be everywhere we looked.

December and January is a bit of an ‘off season’ for Brisbane wedding photographers. You do get the odd wedding here and there but basically, it’s too damn hot to get married. For me, it’s a great excuse to sort through the previous years weddings blog a few of my favourites. Today I am very excited to be blogging the GoMA wedding of Bec & Casey!
It is only the second time I have seen a ceremony held in the Sculpture Garden of the Queensland Art Gallery and once again we had some beautiful light all afternoon. This wedding had everything – a super gorgeous and down to earth couple, a beautiful venue and family and friends who loved them both very dearly.

Alyse & Jose were married at Rydges South Bank. Their ceremony was funny, heartfelt and full of emotion. These two love Brisbane and really wanted their photos to reflect the urban environment that they are so fond of. I had an amazing day photographing them and their bridal party (all 10 of them!). Karissa & Chris were blessed with a perfect autumn day for their Maleny wedding. Sun in the sky, green rolling hills and the odd dark cloud to keep us on our toes. The festivities kicked off with Chris making a casual entrance in a helicopter! Close friends and family were witness to a gorgeous ceremony with the hinterland as their backdrop. After exploring the beautiful grounds of Maleny Manor we headed off site for some location photos overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains. It all wrapped up with literally everyone packed on the dance-floor till the very last minute. Congratulations Karissa and Chris!
